THE THOKCHOM IBOTOMBI INSTITUTE OF TEACHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING, BISHNUPUR was established on 31^st December, 1997 and registered in the same the year under the Manipur Societies registration act, 1989 (Act No. 1 of 1990). Its registration number is 40 of 1997. The college is situated at Bishnupur Ward No. 7 about one-half Km from the heart of Bishnupur Bazar. The college land pucca building was donated by Smt. Thokchom Ongbi Dashumati Devi in the name of her husband Late Shri Thokchom Ibotombi Singh.
